We all know Trini politics is race..but this has to be the most blatant we vs them ideology I've seen in awhile. And if u thought that JW own was a misstep..Kams just come and back it up. So much for politics of inclusion I guess.

I went to an Indian Arrival Day celebration last year and a major part of the presentation was a play taking the audience from the boat to living as free men. They went on in great detail about meeting the freed African slaves where they ('freed' indenturers) went trying to settle. The Africans welcomed them with open arms and the two cultures became integrated. You come by me for my celebration and I coming by you for yours. That's the way Trini culture is now, at the respective holiday everybody looking for somebody to go by to partake in whatever it is. I find this administration, within recent weeks especially, just brazenly pushing race and religion talks. Look at sometime last week jw say not enough bhajans played on the radio in the lead up to divali... =\ bhajans get played everyday year round on some stations. Same for gospel music etc.

Indian or not, let jw and kpb take a side and wear yuh kurta eh!
