I got that problem today.. Got around it by going to google.tt and doing my search there..

Pressing the tab key hasn't been activating search for some URLs in Chrome for me for a while now. Wikipedia works fine, but Youtube doesn't.

Not affected here, but as we're on the topic of Chrome, I have a strange issue.
Did new Os and new version of chrome, and now if I open a new window (not a new tab eh) I get the new tab page. I don't mind the new tab page when I open a new tab, but when I want a new window, I wan't google to come up (the homepage). Why? because the address bar's autocorrect is much slower than google itself. Anyone know about this and got a workaround?

If it happens again the quick fix is to go to google.tt or google.com, right click on the search bar on the page and select set as default search

It will bypass Chrome setting blank.html in the search result - which is what was causing the problem.
