Police Statement on alleged shooting @ Maracas Bay:

The Trinidad and Tobago police service has been informed that there are reports that five persons were shot by members or the Defence Force and the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service at Maracas Bay. We would like the public to know that this information is erroneous. There was no shooting at the venue or on the road to the venue. The event has not been cancelled and is in progress at present. There is an adequate strength of Police Officers on location to ensure the safety and security of all persons in attendance.
