Former government Minister, Jennifer Johnson is adding her voice of concern surrounding the purchase of a Porsche vehicle at the Ministry of Agriculture.
Mrs. Johnson says there is no way people should allow a Ministry to purchase a high priced vehicle and have it assigned to a Minister. Agriculture Minister, Vasant Barath yesterday explained the vehicle was bought for just over four hundred thousand dollars and it is not for his personal use. But Mrs. Johnson, a former Minister under the National Alliance for Reconstruction government, disagrees with the Minister’s justification. Yesterday, Member of Parliament for Laventille Morvant, Donna Cox said the Minister’s explanation does not hold water. She said there are other ministers who are guilty of doing the same. The former Minister said taxpayers are being cheated. According to Ms. Cox, Ministers of government seem to have no clue as to doing what is right and appropriate.

Just for the record... brand new cars in the same price range... Camry, 3 series BMW, Prado, Legend, C Class.....
But WHO paying for the gas ?

Bezman wrote:no one seems to have any probs with the dozens upon dozens of prados, land cruisers and pajeros rolling around that cost about the same
Land Cruiser Prado VX
$712,000.00 3.0 TD
Land Cruiser
$1,000,000.00 5.7 V8
Pajero
$581,000.00
all the ministries have lots of these... if the dealer gave them a discount and they paid no taxes etc and they get them at a competitive price compared to the mitsubishi and toyota SUV's.. whats to stop them??? 400k for a cayenne is a really good price for a top quality vehicle with awesome reliability and service..
i aint defending anyone.. but i always used to watch these ministry workers driving around these half million/million dollar SUV's and wonder why they needed em...
just my 2ç
