Earpads

Postby pyromaniax » December 28th, 2011, 8:36 pm

2nrs,I'm on the search of a good alternative to the Beats solo by dr dre, I did a forum search but only found a thread about the in ear headphones

http://www.amazon.com/Beats-Solo-Headph ... 570&sr=1-1

Would like to here some of your opinions on this said headphones and others you may think will be superior to this. Looking for over ear headphones but dont want them to big around my ear, medium size like that beats. Looking for a nice clean sound with good isolation and strong bass

was also checking out some from here http://www.headphone.com/headphones/ear ... g&dir=DESC

Not looking to spend more that $180 US

Nono, $177 for a pretty "b" is just about right.

Klipsch and Sennheiser all the way, but Skullcandy fullfill my needs atm. Sennheiser will be ordered in Jan 8-)

Also, I own three MEElectronics in ear headphones and they are all amazing.

M6 - For only $20 the sound is amazing! It breaks in really fast too. I can't imagine a better value on the market right now.

SP51 - $35, but one of the best Bass Monsters on the market. I love this, it sounds so powerful, like u've got a 12" sub in your ear. Mids and Highs are pretty good too. Not amazing, but way better than the majority of headphones.

CC51 - $55, my newest addition :) and I just can't believe how clear the sound is! I do miss the pounding bass I got from the SP51, but for non bass track music, especially acoustic tracks, it's simply amazing.

Been using the SR60s for about 5 years with almost everyday use.
Its the best value in (home/car/pro) audio I have come across.
However, they do not provide any kind of sound isolation.

Medium sized (on the ear) headphones hardly ever do.

Good bang for buck is the Sony V500.

Also, good reviews on the ATH ANC1 by audio technica....I never used this particular model but I’m sold on their products in general...especially large-diaphragm headphones and mics.

Even though I love monster products for their high quality, beats by Dre are overrated.

I have the solo HD's.. for the money, it's good.. not amazing, but a little better than what you would expect from the price, especially if you like bassy music like me
