I know this is a long shot. Jia Jia supermarket in reform village, gasparillo is presently being robbed. Robbery vehicle just pulled out 5mins ago. Gold navara tcl9567. Armed robbery. Please be on the look out. Owners were beaten and tied up. Marabella police who are 10mins away, now arrived 45mins after initial call.

problem is..the police stations around the "area" have "other" issues to deal with..like the "big fish" who running the station will get there cut for the 45min relapse in time while he was diligently looking for a police vehicle car keys...to rush to the crime scene and "catch" the criminals...

call made to: Marabella police, Gasparillo police, Sando police at 255am
police arrive at 4am. they said they were busy handling a bar fight.

so from this, i guess we only have two police officers at work in the southern area after 12am

wtf! but it does have a police van parked up in the paved section of the median or on the shoulder of either the north bound or south bound lane right around the entrance to reform that hour nearly every morning.
strange enough the van was not there this morning though.

Bandits rob and terrorise family

THIEVES staged an early morning robbery on Wednesday at a supermarket owned by Chinese nationals at Reform Village, near Gasparillo, and escaped with almost $175,000 in cash, liquor, phone cards, cigarettes and other items.
Supermarket owner Li Jin Wu said the robbery incurred terrible losses on the hard-working family. "Chinese people work very hard. From Sunday to Sunday" she said.
Eight members of the Wu family live upstairs the supermarket at Guaracara Tabaquite Road.
Wu told the Express that around 3 a.m her father woke to find three thieves on a staircase.
She said her father, Zhi Yong Wu, tried pushing the door shut on the thieves, but was overpowered by three of them. Uw said when she heard her father fighting to keep the robbers out, she called her neighbour who in turn contacted the E-999 police service and then the Gasparillo Police Station.
Yang said the thieves, carrying cutlasses, bound the hands and feet of each family member with tie straps, and taped their mouths shut. They took three laptops valued $15,000, two new Iphones valued $10,000, and $40,000 cash from an office.
She said the thieves used the supermarket trolleys and filled them with two four-litre Johnnie Walker bottles, a case of Johnnie Walker, cases of cigarettes, phone cards. After 40 minutes terrorising the family, the thieves loaded the loot into a waiting van and sped off.
The Gasparillo police arrived some 20 minutes later —almost an hour after they were contacted, Wu said.
"The Trinidad police took so long", Wu told the Express. "This kind of thing people could have died. In China, the police come in ten minutes".
