Big chance for a win tomorrow. I felt we bat too long tho.... should've bowled at least 15 overs this evening. Let Gabriel go hard for 3 overs.

yeah, i thought after they reached the 200, they would have risked a 2-3 wicket and bat hard for a 5-8 overs then declare

I don't think they will win this match, the pitch is still as dead as a corpse.

Punjab pulled off a heist today. Scored 221 and won by 4 runs. Catch on the boundary last ball.

Seeing that cricketers starting to worry about Covid in the IPL. Ashwin has pulled out and the Aussie Tye has returned home. Two other unnamed Aussies have also asked to be put on the soonest flights out of India.

Winner if any of our boys worried?

edit/ they named the Aussies this morning - Zampa and Kane Richardson

This isn't Pakistan. The IPL is the bread and butter of the BCCI and the BCCI is the largest contributor to the the global cricketing coffers. If they cancel the tournament it will have to be because the BCCI absolutely has to which I doubt they need to right now. They in fact issued a reassurance about safety this morning

Probably the best game of the IPL so far. So vex not betting on MI when the odds were 17-1 at one point.

And to think 2 unconfirmed covid + tests was enough for England to abandon their tour or SA earlier this year.
Wonder if the English players will leave the IPL?

Basically all the current WI players in the IPL declined the Bangladesh tour.

West Indies Test captain Jason Holder, limited-overs captain Kieron Pollard, and Test vice-captain Roston Chase are among ten players who have pulled out of the upcoming tour of Bangladesh amid Covid-19 concerns. Darren Bravo, Shamarh Brooks, Sheldon Cottrell, Evin Lewis, Shai Hope, Shimron Hetmyer and Nicholas Pooran are the other players who "declined the opportunity to tour due to Covid-19 related concerns or personal fears," according to a CWI release.

When a hospital is right opposite the Narendra Modi stadium where IPL games are being played, it increases the risks.

It seems that the KKR players who contracted Covid went outside the bubble and bought it back in.

Interesting that so many foreign players including those from the WI, put money before health. But, a huge paycheck is worth the risk.

You see how easy it was for the Trinidadian players to get an exemption to leave and return normal normal even from a high risk country like India.

A 4th IPL team affected - Amit Mishra of the DC tested positive to go with KKR, SRH, CSK and KKR players and staff who tested positive before.

A postponement at this point would have to have been an inevitability.
