Kangaroos and Maoris in the finals.

Kiwis and or Black Caps......Maori is an ethnic group/people not a nickname. And as far as I'm aware only Taylor has Maori ancestry in the NZ team.

Ross actually is of Samoan ancestry.

Ahh ok. Got my Polynesian subgroup crossed. Knew he wasn't full European like most of the team except Ish Sodhi.

Imo, it should be like the IPL. Pakistan and SA got a raw deal if you ask me. Lost 1 game yuh out...win 4 and still get the booth.

Saw NZ and India are playing a T20 today in the start of a bilateral series. TBH at this point I have had enough of T20 cricket. Glad to see two tests follow the T20 matches.

NZ batting 53-1 after 7 overs btw.

Dunno is anybody following the Azeem Rafiq testimony to a British Parliamentary committee. It details his time at Yorkshire and the racism he received. Real names call so far including David LLoyd, Michael Vaughan, Gary Ballance and even Joe Root (not implicated for racism but for inaction).

Today Azeem Rafiq apologized for antisemitic tweets he did back in 2011. Man sometimes the irony just writes itself.

Lol.

Seems Warmer and Smith weren't the only ones ball tampering.

And

No wonder Alex Hales doesn't picked for England anymore.

Would he still he still get franchise picks though?

He and KP were the most talented cricketers I have ever seen. I'm glad he no longer available for South Africa because after that taking the knee rubbish at the T20 World Cup, I no longer support South Africa cricket.

maybe it is, more than likely it isn't. He has however been the accused of racism by an english cricketer of pakistani origin with regard to a separate incident, which makes it look a lot worse. If yuh racist is really not my or anybody elses business(although it is an irrational social ill), once you keep it to yourself. When you bring it out into the public, then it becomes everybody elses business and you will have to face the repercussions. Hales is not only accused of racism one occasion, like some of the SA players, he and Ballance have an entire witness statement before a parliamentary committee accusing them of racism. Possibly his career in England is over as the UK minister of sport says the ministry will intervene if they are not happy with the results of the investigation

^ Hales career over since his drugs ban. Ben Stokes has indicated he never wants Hales in an England team ever again.

So WI get bashed by SL on the 1st day. SL - 267/3

Worse is that Jeremy Solozano got hit in the head full flush while fielding at forward short leg.

I was reading some comments in Cricinfo and BEFORE he got hit, someone asked the question why debutants in WI cricket were always put to field at forward short leg.

Anyways, Gabriel bowled rubbish as per usual going at more than 4 an over. Only Chase and Holder bowled decently for the day.

Can't see WI making more than 200 runs when they get their chance to bat. A 2 for 1 coming up for them. They won't be able to deal with SL spin as usual, plenty LBW's coming as well.
