Decent draw by WI but you can't bowl out a team on the first day for 169 runs and they can come back in the match to have a chance to win it. That says alot about WI not being able to consistently bowl well throughout the game. The next test match the bowling unit needs to be seriously looked at.

Blackwood was the best performing batsman in the truncated FC season last year ending his last match with a double hundred.
His last 10 test innings contains 1 hundred and 2 50s and some 20s and 30s.
This match is the forst one in his last 5 he has two single digit scores.

Who would you drop him for? Shai Hope - a man whose test average in 2018, 2019 and 2020 were 20.23; 19.75 and 17.5

India and England in a thriller.

England needs 20 to win off 15 balls with 2 wickets in hand

Ent?

India was coming apart at the seams there for a while with all those dropped catches.

Now onto some test cricket from tomorrow - WI V Sri Lanka.

Was really rooting for Curran to pull it off. Aw well. Was an entertaining innings nevertheless.

That English ODI batting line up is scary!!!
Power/good hitters and batsmen right down to 8.
And that's without Root and Morgan.

They also have some more Currans to call on plus players like Tom Banton, Sam Billings and they could for the past two years blacklist Alex Hales who averages 38 with a strike rate of 96.

Talent pool size to rival India's

The remaining two members of the test squad are Bravo and Warrican.
Unless they were going to ask a non-opener to open Campbell safe.

287-7 first day total. Not bad for WI but the wickets that have fallen has been to poor shots. I wondered how much they could've made if they had stuck it out the batsmen at the top? We'd probably be looking at closer to 500 runs.

Still fat and sloppy, and the standards applied to keep out Hetmeyer and Pooran should also hold.

Jimbo is well aware that his size is a big factor for fitness and selection. Yet still he outperforming those 'fitter' than him.
Congrats on another 50 Jimbo!

Nope, it's just that obese players like Cornwall will eventually be made out, either through injury, or smarter sides figuring out how to keep him in check.

Big Rak surely is making us look bad with this batting consistency.

Still morbidly obese though.
