Thank you Grenada for preparing a TRUE cricket pitch. Not like T&T, Barbados and Jamaica and Guyana who have a set of "drop-in" pitches.

Imagine how exciting the previous 2 Test matches would've been instead of 2 stalemates :|
Mayers is pretty handy with the ball and has a knack for picking up wickets, it's a pity he wasn't included in the other Tests.

Still baffling why he was used this morning though :?

Later today WI Women takes on the Australia Women in the 1st semifinal of the Women's WC.
Australia are the bookies favourites ever since the start and they did comprehensively beat WI in the group stage. However they wouldn't have Elyse Perry, the #1 ranked All rounder and bowler that wrecked WI in the group game.

With their win yesterday Pakistan overtook WI on the super league table that is being used for qualification for the 2023 ODI WC. And one would be hard pressed to see NZ remain below WI especially with two games still to go against Netherlands in their on-going series. WI probably would all but surely have to go through the pre-qualifying tournament. Its actually depressing how non-competitive WI are in ODI cricket.
TBH if left up to me I would start selecting more Test players in the ODI squad as the highly specialized white ball team isn't doing that much.

Plenty plenty zippos recently. The writing was on the wall for a while. But, he had committed to play in another franchise after the current IPL.

But this article extract - damn they are brutal:

If one tries to sum up Pollard’s international career in a nutshell, he could be termed as a perennial underachiever in maroon jersey.

Captains with PoorAnn's ethnicity never succeed in west Indies. Sars never got the support of the team because they preferred Gayle. Shiv was seen as a traitor because he didn't strike with the rest of them. Darren G wasn't seen as an established member of the team....I remember the team being in a strong position to win a test in England in 2007.... and they threw away the game in a session. Even going back to Kalli back in the Packer days..... guys like master blaster saw the team as an African team. Don't see Nicky P lasting too long as captain based on WI cricket history.

Well he shat on his tail with the bat, but a century from Shai Hope and 50's from Brooks and King carried them over the line
