I tried this, finished spraying on the klear coat last night. This system works very well. Did it on the leather steering wheel of a Prado without removing the steering wheel. the kit is US$25.00 plus shipping. The products are copolymer based so cleanup is easy with water.
Simple four step process, five steps if you need to fill indentations.
Step 1. apply leather conditioner liberally and leave over night. The conditioner is not included in the kit so you can oder it seperately or just use mother's conditioner.
Step 2. Apply prep liquid with brush or spray bottle, lightly sand with fine sand paper dipped the the liquid, apply some more prep liquid and wipe clean to repove dirt and oil and leave over night to dry. At this stage if there are areas that need filling, you apply crack filler (sold seperately), let it dry for about 15 mins and then sand as above.
Step 3. Spray on or brush on the dye. I used black but there are many colours to choose from. Let dry over night.
Step 4. Spray on or brush on the Klear coat. It will be touch dry in 20 mins. Let dry for 48 hour to fully cure.
I will post some pictures later this evening. The results are great. Thanks Silent_riot for posting the link to this product. I also intend to use this system to repair the warn leather areas on the two front seat.
