Australia already refused a shipment of cars due to high levels of radiation - I hope the ministry of Health is doing the same in Trinidad

Due to the nuclear plant leak that resulted from damage from the tsunami, large areas in Japan were blanketed in unsafe levels of radiation, which according to Digital Journal, has now created a nationwide problem that is even beginning to go global.
The problem is that many cars were exposed to radioactivity, and now owners are trading them in or selling them on the used market and passing along unsafe cars. In fact, some looking to make a quick buck are even buying these un-salvageable cars and having them re-registered to avoid being detected by safety agencies as contaminated vehicles.
In the past, Japan exported many of its used vehicles to global markets such as Russia or Southeast Asia, but now those areas – including Chile and Australia – are turning shipments away after receiving cars that tested for unsafe levels of radiation.
As far as new cars are concerned, a system has been put in place that tests cars as they leave the factory, requiring them to emit fewer than .3 microsieverts per hour. By contrast, according to a Fox News report, one woman bought a used van that emitted 110 microsieverts per hour. That woman says she bought her van from a dealer who in turn blamed an auction, at which they claim to have purchased the now worthless van for $16,000.
Further investigation revealed that the dealer found out about the radiation when it was denied for export, attempted to decontaminate the van to a level below 30 microsieverts, but failed, and then decided to sell it at an auction anyway. “What do you expect me to do, take a loss on it,” asked the dealer.
