i'm not sure that you loose blood by working during the night. There are some functions that the body performs during that part of the night (between 10pm and 2am) one of which is creation of melatonin (pigment) and red blood cells. However it is a simple case of biorhythm. Once you can create an environment without light and maintain a normal sleep/wake pattern, you can train your body to perform those functions while you sleep during the day.
