Japan typhoon - 34 deaths reported

Postby psykomorf » September 5th, 2011, 3:15 pm

Seems like Japan can't catch a break. As an aside, Japan has had 7 different prime ministers in the last 7 years.

^ you think that's the reason why they are getting so many natural disasters?

On another note the typhoon was downgraded to a tropical storm when it hit, however it was moving so slowly that it dumped almost a meter and a half of rain over 3 days on Japan - that is what caused the most damage and deaths.

I have no idea why 'acts of God' / natural disasters occur to certain places and not others...i'm not sure that i buy the "God did it to teach them a lesson" rationale either....but i will say that religion or no, Japan is still one of the most disciplined and industrious countries. Plus their wimmens are not hard on the eyes...
