WTK/WTB:
In order of priority:
1. Want to put up a 17ft drywall about 9ft high with a door! What types of drywall are there for residential use? Are there soundproof drywalls? Is it simple enough to do on your own? Looking for cheap but effective. ASAP!!!! Recommendations/Advice/Location???
2. Looking to floor about 4 rooms ranging from about 10x14ft to 17x17ft.
What types of laminate/hardwood flooring are there? Cost effective but durable for traffic!!!
3. Looking to do PVC ceiling for an area about the same as the flooring. The existing ceiling previously had shingles on top, so there is the ply wood with the 2x6" supporting the roof. I would like to simply screw the pvc onto it, there is no need for framing.
Looking for a wide variety of designs and also cost effective!
Just by the way: I have a concrete wall on the west side of the house which is exposed to alot of evening sun and tends to generate alot of heat in the room. Yes there is an a/c but the heat is still significant. Looking to add something onto the wall to reduce penetration of heat. Any suggestions to reduce the heat?
Add to the interior of existing wall: drywall? gypsum? heavy drapes?
OR outside of the wall: add the normal wave up and down galvanize sheet to absorb heat while allowing airflow between the wall?
