Agreed, live sports in particular, but most smart tvs do have the ability to be casted from a mobile device on the same network, you don’t lose on quality

cable channels itself seems to be dying compared to the 90's and first decade of the 2000's. channels such as sci fi, usa, tbs and even nick show only crap or reruns of movies. in the 90's when cable reach TT those same channels had actual shows. imagine USA network only shows law and order SVU all day every day, sci fi channel only shows marathons such as twilight zone for 2 or 3 days.

So basically this new box requires a solid wifi connection to work instead of using the old school cable?

So once internet down, tv down too?

Hey i need some help and advice from the experts.

Currently on flow 150 mbps download and 25 mbps upload package using Arris tg2499lg white modem.

When i do speed tests on fast.com i notice my loaded latency to be very high 500+ ms to 1+ seconds.
Also when i test on speedtest.net the download latency is around the same thing 500 to 1000 ms.
I did tests using ethernet cable.

I know this has something to do with bufferbloat and upgrading the router to one with Qos settings might fix it.

I also try disabling windows autotuninglevel and notice that latency is below 50 with the cost of lower download speeds.

I try talking to flow but they seem clueless with the quality of their internet, they ownly concern about the speed.

Do you guys experience this with flow internet and have any advice.

Fast.com is to a miami server
Speedtest.net is to flow port of spain

If i buy one will it replace flow router or will it be additional?

1) get your own router
2) bufferbloat isn't that big a deal unless you saturating your connection
3) if you saturating your connection, get a higher speed first and see.

Hook up with Digicel if you're too concerned about latency.

Get a decent router and set flow modem to bridge

My gaming with friends online and always the lowest ping during game between 50 and 60(not consider low overall) cod servers.. Other friends on digi and amplia are like 70 and 90 ping on avg

Never used any of flow wireless router.
Have the service for more than 10 years no issues other than when power goes or major issue elsewhere.

Change their flow DNS to Google on their router eliminate the frequent drop connection.

I been using Linksys routers for years off their modems. Currently on a WRT 3200.

Got my in-laws a Google Nest 2 pack a year ago. No more calls about devices not connecting or dropping.

Some weird stuff going on with my Flow bill. They refunded and then tried to charge my card several times which the bank declined and alerted me to, and confirmed it was Flow POS account and not some sort of scam. When I called Flow.......and my god these CSR are always so clueless on everything.... they only seeing the last payment no refunds, no charge attempts and just seeing the last balance.

At least you can pay with your card.

It's been almost 6 months the Flow portal has been inaccessible to me. Every time I log in it keeps coming back to the log in page and then eventually an error page. When I called, the CSR said I can physically pay in-store or in other places so there is no need to worry about it. :? :?

I eventually set them up as a payee on on-line banking but that comes out as a direct debit as opposed to being paid by CC.

That says *Fiber*?
Flow's network in Trinidad is Coaxial, I wonder if they plan to upgrade here too?

They have two different login urls. Don't ask me why. The first one doesn't work.
