Jomashop.com has a complete toolkit for less than US$10.

There is a huge following for Timex watches, particularly in styles like the pilot's chronograph that you have.

Want to get something rugged but don’t how common regular g shocks are. Thinking about a g steel. Thoughts? Pic not attaching.

The G-Steels tend to show scratches more readily than the resin case G-Shocks.

If you have the budget, you can look at the carbon fiber Casio watches like the Mudmaster Carbon.

Anyone use a Citizen bm8180 03e https://watchestalk.com/citizen-bm8180-03e-review/ watch?

Been thinking about getting a new watch for a while, and a Citizen model has caught my eye.

Just wondering about reliability and timekeeping.

Yes I have a Japan Movement perpetual calendar Eco-Drive with a sapphire crystal face. A full charge in the direct sunlight for about 12 hours total lasts about two years. Only 30 seconds off in 12 months. I calibrate the minute hand once a year synced with the NIST clock. Very accurate and reliable. Only set the date once since it's a perpetual calendar. Complicated little instrument, so read the manual for proper care and usage instructions of course.

I have owned many Eco-Drives over the years and still have about a dozen today. I had one minor problem with the movement of one of the earliest models many years ago but that was taken care of by Citizen. They are great to have if you don't want to set the time after two days with a mechanical or worry about batteries with a standard quartz.

The movements made today seem to be much better with respect to charging and accuracy. The batteries would last 10 to 20 years and now last more than 20 years.

I seldom have more than a few seconds of drift per month. The atomic models sync in Trinidad but you will need excellent conditions for it to work.

I have an Eco-Drive titanium chronograph posted for sale here on the forum if you are interested.

Do these last like the other seiko's? How do they compare to the SKX's, turtles, samuaria's? I just order a seiko 5 baby ice monster I guess you could call it. They sure look good enough. About all of the 5's https://watchestalk.com/seiko5-snkl23-review/ looks great.

Jk; Leaving off smartwatches, I picked up a solid love/respect for Seikos from dad, but now, we're a solid Timex Expedition family. :S
