Cant go wrong with Seiko especially the automatics. Best are ones that they sell on the Japanese domestic market

I've been wanting a "pepsi" for sometime now, at my wife's urging I finally bought one, I'm looking at a turtle next ( SRP775 or 777) with maybe an upgraded two tone angus or oyster strap + a couple NATO straps for variety. After that it's just gonna be strap swaps based on what look I'm going for, no need for a huge collection .... unless I get a good deal on a Rolex Milgauss
Air king seems real bomb

Never buy a Daniel wellington, those things are cheap Chinese quartz Garbage. if they were 20us maybe but not 200.

Tissot is now available on gearbest at decent prices. Youtube channel : "Just one more watch" recently reviewed one.

Tissot is owned by the Swatch Group. Certina, Glasshütte, Hamilton, Rado, Omega, and others, are theirs also.

Tissot has some very nicely finished cases. Swatch Group has some less expensive quartz movements and some very well made automatics. I have owned a couple of Tissot watches and was not disappointed.

If you are interested in the quartz chrono that you listed, give it a shot. It should work well if it is genuine Tissot.

Tissot is a Swiss-made watch which means that 60% of its value is Swiss and it was cased and tested in Switzerland.

If you are buying a Tissot from Gearbest, I would very seriously doubt that it is likely to be genuine.

All of which uses an ETA movement . So you really buying the same watch with just a different face.

This is why in-house movements cost a mini house like Rolexes and Patek

This is an old, old, old debate.

Swatch Group owns ETA and Lemania. Some of the Swatch brands like Omega also have their own tweaked in-house movements.

The price of a watch is usually associated with the complications, finishing, materials, and exclusivity of the watch - not to mention the perception of value of the brand itself.

If you know Rolex and Patek Phillipe, then that is the watch for you to buy. Some people swear by Rolex while some people won't spend more than TT$100 on a Armitron. People are just going to buy what they like.

I have no problem with admitting that I was wrong. Swatch Group at Gearbest is interesting.

You charged it in direct sunlight for a few hours? It needs 24 hours direct sunlight for a full charge which should last a year. Place it on a window sill face up on the East side of your house and check it tmrw evening.

If not you have to consider that the capacitor needs changing. Don't let anyone but a trained horologist service your Seiko.

There are a few listed within the thread.

Anyone have watch toolkit for sale, or know where sells? Mainly interested in the band link removal tool. Getting fed up of having to go remove links at shops...

Needle nose pliers and a straightened paperclip does work good to remove links. Use the pliers to force the paperclip into the hole and push out the link rod.

Amazon- pay attention to the size of the back remover, you might need more than one.
