what is the best material to use on a gym floor??

Postby BlitzMekenzie » November 28th, 2010, 5:38 pm

im looking to purchase a good, heavy duty material to use on a gym floor.. i was considering to use industrial carpet but thats still pending..i see some gyms have this large square rubber mats that they place throughout their floor, so i really am interested in getting that, but idk who or where sells it, ive been looking around but not much luck, anyone knows where i can buy it locally?

saw it selling in pricesmart chaguanas...right after the folding tables and chairs. Its the hard rubber mats they use to put under exercise bikes and stuff. I think it was $250 for 4 pieces..

Try purchasing online because most places would outsource such.

I really dont know any other place that would sell those interlocking rubber pads you are referring too. Will ask around to see if anyone had any idea.

Best coverring for any floor is some nice low blonde fur :):):):):)

On a serious note though, call a gym and ask for some infor or try some of the bigger hardwares like Home Express or Bhagwansinghs, they might even be able to recommend someone.

Home Express 638-4810

^^^ ok okk cool...one correction though, Home Express number is 638- 1697...the 4810 not working.
i just called them and they have something that im looking for, its the rubber mats that you build up like a puzzle, and its 130 something for 16 square feet...so ill check it out and see how it is.
