Serious Question/Inquiry WRT Prosecution

Postby RASC » November 15th, 2010, 3:54 pm

I'm trying to remember, has any other political party ever successfully prosecuted a member or even a former member of the People's National Movement, on politically based charges?

That is to say, prosecuted for reasons (not limited to) corruption while holding office, misappropriation of funds or other illegal activities?

Thanks, really want to know!

John O'halloran........was charged (in 1983) with accepting bribes and although he fled to Canada and died before he could be prosecuted, the NAR Government found proof of his wrong doings even recovering a quantity of money and seized a property he owned in Canada.

Even former PNM minister John Eckstein once boasted, "that for all the allegations against his party, only John O’Halloran was guilty of corruption in 30 years of PNM rule"
