MTV needs to revamp this whole thing. Just because it's popular doesn't mean it's good. They need to stop having idiot fans voting. Look at the Movie awards for the past few years, Twilight, High School Musical and every dumb romance with a shirtless man winning those awards.
At least the music awards were still slightly more prestigous. Until now: when one can give Justin Bieber a new artiste award, for what? I'm not sure.

And if the Grammys next year do the same, then I will know for sure music has died.
