Official Best Nature Resort Thread

Postby TrinbagoMan » September 7th, 2010, 10:48 am

Title edited***

I looking for a nice guesthouse or nature resort to take the wifey this weekend.

Looking for a nice place near to nature. Places like Gran Riviere, Aripo, etc.

Must be comfortable, no sleazy thing.

What nice places you all went?

If is Grand Riviere yuh want to go, check out Acajou. Private single dwelling huts with a nice view of the beach form the back porch and resturant located just off the river bank ..... nice ambiance Food aint all that though

http://www.acajoutrinidad.com/

You could even check out Le Grande Almandier. Located right up on the beach and excilent food.

Jasmine's Ocean Resort. Went there a few years back. Access to a private beach, pool area, best meals and a nature trail (walk) into the surrounding hills....located in Toco, btw. Not sure if they're still around, but i just found this link.

Acajou is nice. Spent a night there.
Huts have rustic look on the outside. Inside is quite comfortable and has a "modern" feel. No TV.
They have access to Grand Rivere beach. Not too far from Shark River. I'm sure there are trails nearby but I'm not sure how safe it is to walk them alone.
It's bit pricey, but of you're in the mood for that nature feel, it's worth it.
