ORLANDO - A SeaWorld killer whale seized a trainer in its jaws Wednesday and thrashed the woman around underwater, killing her in front of a horrified audience. It marked the third time the animal had been involved in a human death.
Distraught audience members were hustled out of the stadium immediately, and the park was closed.
Trainer Dawn Brancheau, 40, was one of the park's most experienced. It was not clear if she drowned or died from the thrashing.

Wonder if they have a vid of it.
Someone must have been recording it.
She may have done something to the whale, on purpose or not. they don't see us as prey (we don't have blubber, no profit). So most likely it was an intelligent animal done something wrong and held a grudge. Ride back for her another day.

Eye witnesses, guests who ahd gathered before the shceduled show testity to seeing the whale come out of the water, gra the trainer by the waist and drag her back into the pool. she was thrashed around and died.
The president said though that the trainer fell into the pool and drowned.
This whale though has ben linked to two other deaths, one as far back as 20 years here in canada.

Because they fckin smart. Them and dolphins. Actually I learned that dolphins have the same amount of brain activity the avaerage human does. So all they're missing is thumbs? And our communication only beat theirs in the last centory. Before that, they communicated dozens of miles away. I'd go as far as saying those 2 species smarter than some humans

It is definitely sad what happened, but considering the SOMEWHAT playful nature of these animals, it might have been fun and games for him. When an animal of their size decides to do his own thing, a nudge for them is fatal for us. No animal in captivity(no matter how spacious etc) should be blamed for it's unpredictable actions.
They are still wild animals after all the training etc.
