this is what he needs. a convertor plus a cable is jus more possibilities for trouble. i use the cable.. no probs. they can go up to 65 feet. i have de 25 foot

they sell at radio shack abt 400 for a 6ft and more expensive for different brands, cause of the gold plated connectors
