Post your bandwidth

Postby NarendZORCE » November 26th, 2009, 3:46 am

So I'm paying for 10mb down / 768k up Blink Broadband and to their credit it did work for just over two weeks at the advertised speed.

Now I'm the proud user of a 10/768 connection that is giving me:
Last Result:
Download Speed: 89 kbps (11.1 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 661 kbps (82.6 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 59 ms
November 26, 2009 3:41:51 AM GMT-04:00

According to: http://www.blinkbroadband.tt/index.cfm/ ... Speed-Test

Steups.

At first I though yeah, it's just the net being busy. It's 3:44 am and the connection is still in a mess.

Anyone else having this trouble?

I have a 4MB and for the most part I get on avg 4.2mb down and 740k up. There was a time though (for about a week) the darn thing was moving real slow.

Its advisable not to use blink's broadband speed tester, i have found it on many occasions to be biased, (rigged) for want of a better word.

I usually use an external speed tester, even Flow's own - Speedtest.net works better.

De hard part about blink's 10mbps package is that u not guaranteed to get de 10megs.......when u check the site they say u COULD get up to 10.....not guaranteed to get the full thing.

It just sad........
