The older stuff like the vintage Kenwood's, Sansui etc all seem to have more power. But for me tubes are the best.
I have a 7 watt tube stereo open ended amp that sounds amazing.

Both service and sales. If you suspect it's heat then it's likely an electrolytic capacitor swollen or leaking. Very easy to find with a multimeter and simple observation of the board and replace even if you don't have experience. Yeah they don't tell you that your home theater system needs more active cooling while in use.
