Takes max three weeks from the time you place the order, its safe, secure and the delivery charge is already included in the shipping cost. Personally I rather this method of buying a pc over going into a local store, as you have to purchase what they have when in reality it's never what you want, it's usually also cheaper.

Plus you get exactly what you build.... its the best way to order a PC...

I ordered a laptop on the 30th of October and payed using my credit card online. I just received a call 5 minutes ago from UPS saying that they will deliver Monday or Tuesday.
That was pretty fast.

They usually let you know when its being built etc. Then UPS calls to tell you estimated date when it wud reach TnT and estimated date of delivery.
Quick, easy process.

You could always call the dell ppl (for latin america) and order it over the phone. If your laptop under warranty still ...u pay nothing.

And doh forget to consider how much extra u'll have to pay for customs n vat.

The US site always have great deals that is sometimes unavailable on TT.

Is it better to order from the US site and ship it to a skybox or order from the tt site and have it shipped to my home?

What about the warranty issue with systems purchased in the US ...do you still benefit from it in Trinidad?

^was chatting with a dell sales rep on the site and they said that you need to select the 3 year warranty plan for the warranty to be honoured in trinidad

 I beg to differ. Either its a new policy or the Dell sales rep did not know what he was talking about. The dell warranty is valid for the stipulated time whether 1 year, 2 years etc. anywhere the system is located basically. Once you choose the option to have the system exported out of the USA and the name is valid you are good to go.

I tried ordering from TT site to ship to the US but they added the $73US shipping to TnT which cannot be removed.
I then tried ordering from US site but they needed a US Credit Card for purchase.

I ordered from Dell TT...my laptop was here within a week and a half, but UPS took over a week to clear it because it was over some stipulated value which means it had to go through some other process blah blah blah...

Either way, i'd reccomend it to anyone...think i paid less than 73US to ship as well...
