nah, they used to play Shango live up to the last time I saw 'em live (would've been closer to two years now tho)
I'd rate them the best thus far...those guys really know how to pull a crowd and entertain
went to a show in Screamers carpark a few years back (when they did Tattoo Farm promos), a dread shower come down and ppl fraid to get soaked so Screamers mgmt open up the club for ppl to shelter...Nigel start to wail on the mic ("beeeeeeeeeeeeeeee not afraaaaaaaaaaaaaaid"!) and ppl come outta all kinda holes to stand in front the stage in the rain...in seconds the carpark ram and mankind frolicking in d rain while Nigel lip gettin shock from d mic cuz he playing in a puddle and Obasi whole back wet cuz the drums positioned too far back on the stage lol
also went to an acoustic set they played Under the Trees with Andre Tanker doing Basment Party with them...awesome show
the only other local bands of late, that I'd really rate would've been Blood Red Clover, Tripped and then Skid...real star potential...tho their music really wasn't my cup of tea, they meshed really well and performed like a single unit as any good band should...tight show, gr8 strings, gr8 vocals and solid, creative drumming
I especially like Skid's use of the steelpan but I haven't heard anything from them since last year
still I miss the heavy bands like HSV and Alexes Machine etc.
