Trinis will find a way to eat anything, doesn't make sense killing a shark that size but usually they're caught on palang where they swallow hooks/entangle themselves/ exhaust themselves to death and they pull them in dead or barely alive.

I know they say large shark like that should be bled to get rid of impurities from blood in the flesh
Obviously that can’t happen in a overnight palang.

I would never guess that such a shark can come from T&T waters. If I did not know any better, I would say that pic is from Australia.

For those in the car audio scene...some may argue that the white dude looks like one of the predator owners

Was there up to yesterday, cat fish if you're into that. I doubt they alone be biting doh.. People I met there someone pulled a almost 2 feet grouper, others snapper. Tbh I did alot of shore fishing all over Trinidad and bite wise down mayaro or las cuevas is the best for me but fish when the tide coming up..

Fished the wahoo tournament yesterday...got a few sailfish bites, jumped one, caught a mahi, cobia, one wahoo and lossed a small kingfish earlier in the day...came it with the 4th heaviest fish out of 23 teams...not much wahoo got held, only 6 came to scale...
