Which businesses open today?

Postby kornbyrd » September 8th, 2008, 9:38 am

I passed through Chaguanas to check out the scene.

Most of the Syrian owned businesses open like Francis Fashions / Shoe Locker, Yufe's and a few small shops. Omardeens Accountancy School open but there anre no students there. lol. About 80% of the Chaguanas Main Rd closed. HiLo even closed but they have a sign up saying that they upgrading their computer systems. lol.

Its a good show of solidarity if nothing else. Come tomorrow everything will be the same bu at least we would have had a day of unity I suppose.

Is KFC Independence Square still packed and lined with people waiting to buy chicken? Yes? Then it's just another ordinary day. Go back to work, people. :|

lmao...Sheep are easily led.

Anyone consider this?

Who funded the numerous full page press ads @ ~$25,000 Per Day, Per Ad?????

I'd think it'd be someone who can afford to stay home and stroke themselves over the number sheep they influenced today

Solidarity

we closing just now, makes no sense.....

i think we are killing this shutdown day thing. people getting fed up. you must have a plan of action. dont just shut down. it should have been a shut down that leads to something right away- protest? etc, something of substance. manning just laughing right now.

we only crying wolf

Loco, there IS a plan.

This is just for starters to get EVERYONE to do something at once.

As I said before, you can't just jump into protesting. You have to warm people up to the idea of uniting in SOMETHING first. The easiest thing is to stay home.

Step by step otherwise, knowing trini's, nothing will happen if the steps too sudden.

Passed thru Penal. Almost everything closed except for kfc and royal castle.
Felt like a sunday evening. Very little traffic and people around.

Not even doubles people around :? Cud not get doubles in Santa Flora this morning either :(

So the strike was supported in South and Central and North is business as usual.
