I run a bft solar powered gate - dual arms. Installed in 2013 changed my first battery in 2020. So far so good.

My electric gate setup was relatively easy. It’s a dual arm and not a slider. So it required the placement of the solar panel, the battery pack and installation of the dual arms. There was also the issue of cutting the asphalt under the gate to run the power cable for one of the arms. That was perhaps the most difficult part of the job.
The only ‘problem’ that I’ve had is when we have consecutive cloudy days the battery pack will fail usually at the end of the second day and I’ll have to use the release key to open the gate manually. It’s happened 3x since I installed the solar panel in 2013.

Was going to purchase the unit from Remote Control Gates but they are out of stock, then would have got an installer. I was looking at the Tau p250.
