Was going to purchase the unit from Remote Control Gates but they are out of stock, then would have got an installer. I was looking at the Tau p250.
I used Electric Gates who supplied and installed my gate motor. Their number is 7626057.

Yep.you just have to build up the gateway and the track to be completely level horizontally.

TAU is an excellent brand .

How was the service and price ?

What kind of warranty did you get ?

Were you pleased with the whole works :D

Anybody else can recommend a company that does the fabrication of gate and installation of motor with a warranty ?

Hey people, has anyone ever used the Powertech gate motor.....called around to get some quotes and some of the installers are offering this motor at a reasonable price ($7200). The TAU motor with installation is costing me around $5000 more.

Is there a “one stop shop” where I can get the gate fabricated and the automatic opening mechanism installed? Construction of the support posts for the entrance gate would also be required. I am looking to get a quote for the entrance to a gated community installed.

Thanks.

unlikely you will get a fabricator who does the motor install, more likely you will get a motor guy who has his fabricator to supply the gate.

i put in a tau swing earlier this year
it have a little quirk in that the open or close operation has a 30s cycle
if somebody presses remote before that 30s it will slam on the next open or close and not slow down at end of motion

somewhat irritating

Sounds like not only the swing got a problem: with my sliding gate, if I press button just as it about to close or open/ end of the track it jumps the track(2 times) or trips the breaker (once). I have to make sure it finishes then press to close/open.

Well I say jump the track, because I assume that is what happened. (Have braces/ poles installed to prevent gate falling). Is more like it run out the gear track( strip with teeth,) so it needed to be rolled back for the spinning gear to catch back. Only happened in the instances mentioned.
