Based on performances thus far it looks like:

1. Bolt
2. Powell
3. Thompson

for the medals. It's slated for 10:30 this morning.

Someone pointed out though that in the recent history of the Olympics, the favourite has never won the final. We'll see.

Thompson ran the best technical race of the lot, but he had no chance against dem mantis legs Bolt have dey yes.

Hard luck for Burns.

Looking forward to more success in the 200m and the relays...8-)

^^^dude, dat race was @ 10.30am this mornin...bolt make dem fellas look like frikin snail. D man slow up cmin to d end and stilll break the WR. i cyah believe d speed that man had.. :shock: congrats to 2nd place trini THOMPSON..well done. But Bolt...OMg..

It's what they all do.

Not Ato when he contested the two events in 2000. He went all out for the 100 and had nothing left in him for the 200. Still, he managed 3rd place with a PB and NR of 19.80.

How is it that the official timekeeper of the event is the same company that sponsors Phelps since 2004? Isn't there a clear conflict of interest here? That's like having sex with your own sister and then bragging around that you get laid a lot.

big up to renny quow our junior world champion has made into the 400 m finals with a time of 44.82 a personal best and no doubt a new national record i think
