blind melon's contribution to music, and to the wider pop culture was negligible at best

Randy rhodes was not a singer he was a guitarist but very much a legend during his time who was taken way too soon.

my 2 cents

Postby SRT-4 » April 22nd, 2008, 9:25 am

The four singers mentioned above are considered some of the greatest because of their contribution to rock music in general. Layne Staley and Kurt Cobain gave birth to Grunge out of Seattle. Also if you dd some research on the way these singers died it is really quite shocking at how much drug abuse their bodies took. Especially in the case of Layne Staley who after his own girlfriend died of drug abuse he became a drug recluse and his drug abuse spiralled until he died alone in his apartment. Here is a vid of Layne Staleys last performance.
You can see how thin he looks in this vid a shell of his former self.

always had a liking for bands with a heavy reggae/caribbean influence...stemmed from the days of jaundis i, opg ant then orange sky...is also why i don't like skid nivelli as much i give them props for using pan in their songs

so then bands like 311, sublime and skindred catch and hold my attention

311 holds for me one of the most poignant lyrics for me when hexam sings in beyond the gray sky " don't give up the fight to stay alive...and even if you have to...use the reason of another's pain...if they lose you"

big big lyrics if you've ever had a friend who comitted suicide.

and yes srt-4 i know randy was a guitarist...i said so
