Well to be fair, when you analyze Nate's predictions he was by far the closest. The swing states that Trump one were all roughly 50:50.

What's most interesting this year, and you'll see a ton of research papers on this topic of the next few years, is why were polls so wrong. UK elections, Trump winning GOP nomination, Brexit and now this. Pollsters need to do a thorough review of their methodology.

I myself earlier in this thread said polls using previous political demographics pollsters have beeing using for this election are flawed because Trump, like Obama in 2008, is appealing to non-traditional, non-partisan voters.

It could also be something alluded to by Nate Silver as well. Lots of pollsters throw out results that either doesn't fit the narrative they want, or try to align their results to what other pollsters have found.

The overreaction on cnn is insane, worried about telling their kids about trump and facing each other in the workplace. You wouldn't be greeted by the inevitability of proxy wars with russia over airspace, open borders and inconsiderate harbouring of syrian refugees had hilldawg won.

When you want to be all high and mighty and force your sheit down people throat and don't have a thick skin.. this is what happens. Like the loud mouth UNC person at work the next day when Kamla lost then did not have the BALLS (Yeah.. i said it) to come out and comfort their clan. Problem is, Americans have no idea how to say "I was wrong, my team lost". They will actually go through an existential crisis before work this morning.

Canada's immigration website just crashed

Portia Crowe Nov 9, 2016, 12:08 AM ET
The Government of Canada's immigration website crashed on Tuesday night as the US election results were rolling in.

The site went down about 10:30 p.m. ET on Tuesday, and there was intermittent accessibility after that.

About 9 ET on Tuesday evening, CNN announced that a number of key states in the election - including Michigan, Ohio, Virginia, and Florida - could all swing in Republican nominee Donald Trump's favor. (Virginia has since been won by Clinton and Florida by Trump.)

This is what happens when you have to choose between the "lesser of two evils".

People need to keep in mind that a lot of people didn't vote for Trump; the voted against Hillary. I'm not sure how significant those numbers were though. People are fedup with Wall Street running things and it's no secret that Hillary is more conjugal with Wall Street than Bill.

Anyway, when all is said and done.... don't forget that Hillary actually lost to Trump. Let that sink in. Trump was literally a joke when he started to run and Hillary got beat by that joke.

Even with all the media on her side, she got beat. Even "Last Week Tonight" with John Oliver was supporting Hillary while pretending to be unbiased.

Last time she ran the US saw it's first black president. Second time she ran they voted for a bigoted reality TV show host.

The people have spoken and they hate Hillary. I just hope she gets the message this time. She should be the one credited with putin Trump in the white house.

^him winning may impact us on his energy and immigration policies
he did say he plans to temporarily suspend visa for places linked with terrorism...it would suck if we end up on a blacklis
cost of goods we import from american companies could go up as well based on his policies with foreign based manufacturing...if he starts to cut ties with china in an event to bring back build house in America for jobs....labour wont be cheap etc
