The Eagles have it all to do. In order to qualify for the semi-finals of the Champions League they will have to chase Trinidad & Tobago's total, after Daren Ganga chose to bat in Hyderabad, with about 42 balls to spare. It's a tough ask, especially against a team which is yet to lose a game in India.
Both teams made a couple of changes to their XIs. T&T brought in Adrian Barath for batsman Darren Bravo, who is nursing a niggle, and medium-pacer Navin Stewart replaced the legspinner Samuel Badree. The Eagles were boosted by the return of fast bowler Dillion du Preez, who came in for Jandre Coetzee, while Victor Mpitsang took Shadley van Schalkwyk's spot.
New South Wales' massive win earlier in the evening ensured that either Eagles or T&T will be eliminated from the competition tonight. NSW and T&T both have four points each while the Eagles are on two. NSW, however, have the best net run-rate (1.843) while T&T's is 1.438 and Eagles' is -1.107. If T&T win, they will top League A and secure the final semi-final berth. Should they lose, though, they could still go through on better net run-rate if the margin of defeat is small. Only a massive defeat will push T&T's run rate low enough for the Eagles to scrape through.
Eagles: 1 Morne van Wyk (wk), 2 Rilee Rossouw, 3 Adrian McLaren, 4 Boeta Dippenaar (capt), 5 Ryan Bailey, 6 Ryan McLaren, 7 Alan Kruger, 8 Dillon du Preez, 9 Cornelius de Villiers, 10 Thandi Tshabalala, 11 Victor Mpitsang.
Trinidad & Tobago: 1 Lendl Simmons, 2 Wayne Perkins, 3 Adrian Barath, 4 Daren Ganga (capt), 5 Dwayne Bravo, 6 Denesh Ramdin (wk), 7 Kieron Pollard, 8 Sherwin Ganga, 9 Ravi Rampaul, 10 Dave Mohammad, 11 Navin Stewart.
