I'd put this here cause I don't want the relative drama of a new topic.

Yesterday, Unknowing to me, My wife bought a Samsung S4 from a local business place as my Christmas present. I only opened it this morning. Only to discover less than an hour later, It was a clone. A fake. A very very very good one. AT first glance (and I never owned a Samsung Device before), I found it sluggish out of the box. I overlooked it. Now I researched the phone since it was launched. I know all the basic features. They were there, But didn't work properly. Certain features from the cam were also missing. There is this app (got this from xda developers) named Genuine S4/S3/Note II. Basically it checks to match your phone with the known specs of the device and I wanted to be sure. Cause clearly something was wrong. I even checked the phone details and everything seemed fine given some quick online research. It is runnning Android 4.2.2 as well.

An Error message came up saying, I'm sorry, This is not a real S4. The resolution was 960x540, Ram was 500MB and the internal memory was 8.8GB. See the problem here? It was returned this morning and the full refund was given. PLEASE.... Be careful of what you buy. Even if it's from a reputable dealer.

Lots lots lots of fakes out there. And the bastards want to charge full s4 price. Then again some of the dealers don't even know that they're selling a fake

One should not be a dealer if one does not know how to identify clones or verify the authenticity of the products they sell, backed by a guarantee.

I've seen it over and over. Lots of dealers are oblivious.

Bought a phone some years ago as a gift for my Gf at the time. I couldnt make the trip to POS so I gave the money to someone to buy it for me. When they brought home the box and I started to inspect the packaging, it had obviously been tampered with so I opened it. To make a long story short, nothing was sealed or in plastic. Phone, when I switched it on, came with pre-loaded pics and contacts...

Dealer pretended he didn't know what was going on and told the original purchaser the technician would have to look at it "verify the issue". Long story short, I had to go personally and sort it out since he thought he could give the purchaser a run around since she is a woman.

A lot of dealers are dishonest eh. That's why you as the consumer have to be informed as well as you have to properly inspect the item before paying. And don't be afraid to ask questions no matter how ridiculous it seems.

Google Play Movies expands to Jamaica, New Zealand and ten other regions

If your local Blockbuster just shut down or you can't get Netflix in your nation, there's always Google Play Movies. It's now available in nearly double the countries it was yesterday and 27 total, having added a dozen more nations to its rota. Notable new regions include New Zealand, Hong Kong, Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago. If you're seeking a flick fix there or the other nations (at the source) and have Google TV, Chromecast or an Android device, now's the time to grab the app.

Sorry but if you can't get Netflix in your country, move!

Netflix selection + price > GPM

e.g?

Netflix plus UnblockUs works out cheaper and gives you the same if not better selection when you choose the different regions.

yeah but GPM is similar to iTunes and Vudu where u get recent movies shortly after they're released in theaters.

e.g. Riddick, Wolverine, Elysium, Despicable Me 2 etc. etc.

it's gonna be a while b4 these movies show up on Netflix

*in b4 torrents and $5 dvds comments*
