Google just released a new white nexus 7 together with a Google play edition Sony and LG tablet.

Right after I brought a nexus 7......now I want the white one.

It's a great device, if tablets are your thing.

i decided not to get it again. reviews on amazon are really mixed. alot of faulty units; dead pixels, dead on arrival, dust under screen, battery dying after 6 months (no boot), etc. i wouldnt risk ordering that online to have to return it. seems that has alot of quality control issues.

proceed at your own risk

I played around with nervewrecker nexus 7 tablet. And it's a pretty well built device. It's solid and not the plastic feel like my galaxy tab. It's also much more faster and the touch feels better. It's also thinner.

I'd buy it

Didn't Google fix all touch issues on this device?

Seems weird that this guy would have all this information on the device and can't even get Asus to replace it, and I have unlocked bootloader/updated/rooted a couple of them, met no touch issues

he's outside of the 30 day return window for amazon returns.
asus is the manufacturer not google so i dont know how you expect google to fix it.
and this review is from dec 9th, which is recent.
alot of other reviews of problems here and there. seems like a gamble buying one.

If it's a software issue, then it is Google that has to fix it, and Google did address touch issues on this tablet with updates after it was released, if he is sure that it's a hardware defect, after keeping the device for so long, which is weird in itself, he should contact either Asus or Google, while Asus is known for having QA issues, they seem good with regards to RMAs

It's a gamble buying anything online, that's why you check your hardware as soon as you receive it, any red flags, you deal with that immediately.

I got a nexus 7 for $199 off amazon. Tablet works quite fast and fluid. Screen quality is really good and sharp. Drawbacks are the smaller size of the screen compared to 10" tablets and the lack of a micro sd card slot which means you're stuck at 16gb of memory ..which I already filled up :P
I still think its a good buy ..or you can look at the nvidia evga tegra note for a similar price..

Ever since I updated my N4 to kit kat 4.4.2 last night I noticed my WIFI speeds are crippled.
Playstore is horribly slow and youtube won't stream in HD fluid will stick every now and then.

Funny thing is with the speedtest app it will say 1.2 mbps upload speed

But Blink does not offer higher than 756k upload. hmmmmm

It was fast with 4.4 when I first updated but this new one I dunno.

Do a speed test to a foreign server, the app usually defaults to a server right here in Trinidad

If flashing roms wasnt so risky I would have done that.

so after waiting more than a month to get the kit kat update on my htc one, after the update i've started to get some horrible battery drains, from a full charge to 20% in 4 hrs. Even when the phone is not being used the battery drains, i tried killing apps, disabling wifi bluetooth etc it still drains... any suggestions? or do i have to wait for eternity for another update lol thank god i didnt sell my iphone

^ you understand

I see now why Apple is the best. This N4 is so much harder to flash roms its ridiculous I spent 2 days trying to unlock the bootloader alone and still I am stuck just cannot do it.

My S2 i9100 was so easy just flash stuff with Odin and you done. But not this garbage N4 and guess what I can't even sell it now because with new kit kat the wifi stinks.

You get 1 mbps on a 100mbps connection. I even did a factory restore same thing.

I should have stuck with Jellybean. My fault was too greedy for something I didn't even need. Who knew the holy grail of android could not do a simple update without 1 million issues.

Google will abandon nexus 4 soon just as they did with galaxy nexus so I eh know what go take place. And I cannot flash any rom with this thing so I am stuck.

Next time I buy a phone go be windows phone 8 or something. I done with this android rubbish, it free for a reason.

I find the 4.4.1 sucked on battery life a bit too. Charged my phone almost everyday, used to charge it a lot less. Got 4.4.2 so I monitoring it.
