Sounds correct.

It's such a useless stat. Samples submitted does not mean tested. At least not yet.

i would hope that they told them to stay home/quarantine pending results- in fact they should be home from the time they get any symptoms- no sense only sending them home when they test positive- at that point they would be off to caura/couva hospital

another thing- u supposed to stay home- but come out to get tested? so take public transport & expose others if u doh have a car? why no option for them to come to you?

for only 3 days tho. maybe we could try it for just 1-2 weeks instead of 2 months, wouldn't cost d govt billions this time. bars maybe a little longer (or after the 2 weeks open back but operate as a liquor mart/takeaway?)

and yuh know even if they lock down now-

you will still have ppl who got infected up to today who will become symptomatic next week (5-7 days is the average i think), they will go for a test after a 2days, but may not get results for a few days. only then they will be moved to hospital. I hope they thinking about all that. the curve wouldn't even begin to start flattening until a few weeks. If no lockdown then even worse.

Honestly it's too late to lockdown effectively. In a time like this you need a full drastic 6 week lockdown and even then you run the risk of having an outbreak right after you reopen.

The time to lockdown was 2 weeks ago, it is too late for us now.

Be safe everyone.

I absolutely cringe to think of the what ifs......
A neglected health care system is not an exam you can cram the night before and pass the next day.

Over 100 cases in less than a week.
At least there have been no more deaths and the facilities are not overwhelmed

Given our testing rates and the number of unknown source cases, it's safe to say we're at the beginning of our exponential increase and it's likely we'll be having 50-200 cases daily for most of this month if not more (once testing can keep up).
