SHOULD TNT EXIT WEST INDIES ?

Postby prakash » June 21st, 2017, 10:10 am

Apologies if this has already been posted , What are the benefits of TRINIDAD & TOBAGO remaining with the west indies ? If TRINIDAD & TOBAGO exit and start from scratch , would they start as a DIVISION 5 team in ICC and then move up accordingly .
Trinidad and Tobago is already on the map courtesy , BRIAN LARA , SUNIL , KIERON , BRAVO so it not like upcoming stars wont be neglected by franchises .
Wouldn't More players would get more opportunity
If TNT exit all other Caribbean islands will follow causing DC to have CRICKET WEST INDIES all for himself.
What are views fellow tuners ?

Trinidad cricket would not benefit as a separate entity. Trinidad players may

Basically starting from scratch. Not a bad option imo. Once all the key factors are in place to develop cricket in Trinidad we can make a name for ourselves...Look how t20 in the west Indies from the Stanford tournament.

Make cricket attractive, not only through compensation, restore a sense of pride to play for country or region and we will prosper. Young Cricketers only want to play for wi because it's the highest level, not due to them wanting to contribute and be a part of something that is great.

How did the QPO get so bad? Online the commentators was commenting on the poor drainage. I thought it top notch after CWC 2007.

Judging from the crowd turnout for the last two games where 90% of seats were empty, had India won the 4th ODI, Sabina park would be empty on July 6th, I could be wrong tho.

Had those games been in Trinidad, storm or sun, the seats would be filled and stands overcrowded......but wicb seems comfortable with their ticket sales thus far I guess......

You do know Games 1 and 2 of this series were in Trinidad on June 23rd and Jun 25th respectively??
Game 1 had a few hundred ppl and Game 2 got just over a thousand.

Even Trinidadians don't care to go see India vs WI anymore
