Caught off La Brea by the close rigs, the jetty and off shore otahiete.

This is my first wrench jig, it's a 7mm with a standard triple hook and a small stinger an inch behind, I caught the sail catfish in the right of the cooler and hooked up with something fun by the jetty that straightened one of the stingers.

Really? The amount of sputniks I lost down manzan because of them biting clean through 80lb mono shock leader.
Updates from Icast on the upcoming reels to hit the scene.
Penn Clash won best saltwater reel.
Stradic Fk won best of show.
Ryan I think I gonna hold out out for that new stradic hgn, it's looking more and more like the older stella fi with fewer bearings.

Fellas, in Tobago for the week. Went for a swim in Store bay this morning, water nice and clear as usual. There was a school of bait all around my feet, looked like little hardbacks. On the edge of the school I saw a couple of small jacks prowling, then I saw a pair of small pompano. The biggest fish I saw though was a school of 3 fish about 3 pounds each. I think they were some kind of jack too, they had a dark stripe running across their eyes. They showed no fear for people, I had on a pair of goggles but most people weren't even aware of all the marine life right around them.

Which bearing? The oscillation gear? The spheros actually has a bushing there which will last. Shimano actually replaced the bushing with a bearing, changed the handle, bail roller and the paint and branded the saragosa lol. The only real difference between the two is the lower gear ratio and that extra bearing on the spheros.

The roller bearing an one of the internal bearing but the spheros has ah lot less drag as well...is ah nice reel but for the larger fish is ah headache if u dunno wat u doin...i usually palm my spools wen fighting fish so is no problem for me...

Oh yeah, the gosa spool, it has a drag stack on the bottom as well. If you find your drag significantly lower, check the drag stack just in case. A couple people reported that one of the drag washers was out of place in the wrong order in the spheros.

Made an early morning spin manzan, no seaweed :) Caught a 2 lb cavalli, zilwan, catfish chuf chuf and a big pompano come off when he nearly reach up :(

Real nice size finger mullet playing in d surf so the bigger cavalli shouldn't be far.

No seaweed!

Were these caught from shore ? - as in you cast out from the sand ?
