Ronaldo challenges Barca to score eight against Real

Cristiano Ronaldo challenged Barcelona to try and score eight goals past his Real Madrid side when asked for his views on the champions’ earlier 8-0 thrashing of Almeria in La Liga on Saturday.

The Portugal forward scored a hat-trick in his side’s 5-1 hammering of Athletic Bilbao at the Bernabeu, taking his tally for the season to 14, one ahead of Lionel Messi in the La Liga goalscoring charts.

The Argentine World Player of the Year had netted a hat-trick in Barca’s romp over struggling Almeria, but Ronaldo was less than impressed with their efforts when questioned by Spanish television pitchside at the Bernabeu.

“(The 8-0 win) It doesn’t tell me anything,” Ronaldo said. “Let’s see if they score eight against us on Monday.”

I really thought Real would have put up a harder fight man because they were looking good coming into the game, but Barca make dem look real small. It had a time in the game round the 67 min + that Barca string together about 50-60 passes in style and just have Real chasing shadows.

Well done Pep in organizing the side well. Alves did not go forward too much leaving the wing and back exposed and Abidal made his runs when he had to. Messi played well playing a little deeper and providing 2 or 3 assists and was involved heavily in the game. Glad that Villa took his goals well. Bojan looking like he will be on that bench for a long time. He had a good couple of chances with even a 1 on 1 with Casillas and stumble and throw away the chance.

Ramos UDFR with dat sheit....

Glad Jose and Ronaldo get humble, they have to start keeping they mouth shut. Let we see what Jose go say now.

just goes to show the passion involved in the game. everyone knows that Spain always underachieved at the big events because of the rivalry between the madrid and barca players. Del Bosque is definitely a top coach to bring that team together.
