Bank ATM deposit function not working..a conspiracy?

i tried to do deposit yesterday, machine door stayed shut, even though it said go ahead and insert items to deposit

i sure some ppl had to pay that in branch fee till plenty ppl complain that the ATM option wasn't working out

that giving trouble since the polymer switch
it’s just that they have scaled down in person tellers that it put strain on these faulty atms

So i didnt know what other thread to post this so i say here would work

a relative of mine in the process of getting a mortgage for a new house

pre approval good, they make her pay off her vehicle loan to be able to qualify for the house

process reach 99%, deposit made, documents signed

guess what holding it back

in 2022 republic bank gave her a upgraded credit card and transferred the existing balance to the new card which she always pays off completely every month

that old credit card is showing up as having outstanding arrears since 2022 and never being paid, since 2022 that card doesn't exist

normal republic bank procedure is to pay for a letter of no indebtedness and wait 2 weeks for it.....and closing documents suppose to be signed today/tmr


then another issue, she have a digicel post paid account, thats showing up as not being paid since may, when she pays her bill every month online....and isnt owing anything on it

digicel will take 7 days to issue a letter saying they arent owed anything

2 weeks to get a letter?

Why we even going this route again? What happened to the Ministry of Digital Transformation or whatever? Why are we not pushing to digitize documentation? And how both RBL and Digicel have wrong info on the person? So their database faulty then? U cud never get away with these things in the US or even Jamaica.

for some reason digicel will take 2-3 months to show an updated status


and yes RBL database faulty , through a link in the bank the person got their letter of non indebtedness today rather than having to wait the 2 weeks
