I out of this.

Wars have been forth and millions of lives have lost for the right to vote in a democratic society. New countries have formed over the right to vote.

People die for the right to vote, but yet still we have an abundance of idiots.

I have stated that TT is filled with idiots and very stupid people who show no logic when it comes to voting or selecting a party.

I read these three political thread everyday and its sad to see that tuner is also filled with idiots.

Tuner has clowns that come on here with remarks as follows. These same people complain everyday about the goverment, but when when time to use their right they give excuse as follows.

1.Who we go vote for.
2.I not voting
3.All political parties are the same so I not voting.
4.I voting for the lesser of two evils
5.To much laywers in a party
6.You much old people in a party so I not voting.
7.When new people are brought into a party then they they say they are inexperienced.
8. Parties to old so I not voting.
9. Parties to young so I not voting.
10. The parties don't suit me, I not voting.
11. No morals as goverment were caught fabricating the truth, and one clown says no laws was broken.

Then we have another clown that come on here saying that the opposition party not protesting on the street like when the other did when they where opposition.

Then a mod decided to lock a chead while another one opens a new chead.

For those that don't want to vote you all should pack your grip and leave TT. Go live in China, North Korea and Cuba.

I out of this as it is one big joke and tuner is fillied with political mods and idoits.

zr, yes our forebears did struggle & die for us now to be able to have the right to vote. I for one am grateful to them for not only this but many other aspects of what they fought for that has improved my life. But just keep in mind that their sacrifices then do not equate to a debt their future generations have to pay (now or ever), and that having the right to be able do something doesn't make it mandatory one MUST do that thing. Freedom of choice an actual thing that still exists & always will, so that you may choose to vote for whoever and for whatever reason, or abstain, as long as the individual is willing to live with the consequences of their choice.
For all your list of reasons why people may chose to abstain, answer me this hypothetical question.
If someone that doesn't give a damn about you or your existence knows you're hungry to the point you nearly starving to death & they offer you to choose from one of two things they want you to eat. One is a plate with a dozen pigshit donuts & the other is a bowl of thick chunky hogshit soup, & both have only their one main ingredient .
If you knew you didn't HAVE to choose either & that neither is good for you & you could either wait for something better to come along, or go get/make something better yourself, my question is, would you personally actively choose to eat either or refuse both outright.

your forebears fought for you to have the right to have a choice, not to feel obligated to have to make a choice from any one of a multitude of shitty options where any one is just as bad as any other. give the people an option that can even be considered as potentially worthy and deserving of their vote, and you won't be able to keep them away from the polls come election day. keep giving them what they usually always get & they couldn't be bothered to vote, because all they see is more of the same shite they don't want.

all that and u go still vote pnm

but seriously, your analogy of both being sheit is wrong, because they can never be. I know ppl on both sides, often they want to help, but they want to help themselves in the process.

But I am telling you there are differences, in fact, it surprises me how much good they and simultaneously sheit they both are and can be.

Make a pro and list con of what matters to you, the future of the country and your children.

Sounds like you're trying to say that just because they may do a little good here and there, they aren't all that bad and focus on the good and take the bad as an unavoidable consequence.
Son, I could bake you the most delicious cake in the world, but if I plaster it with kaka and tell you that is chocolate frosting, would you have the ballz to eat a slice?

think ur analogy is a bit mixed up where it relates to politics in TT. Is more like the cake is made of kaka and it have a very very thin, we talkin nowadays bourbon thin not like long time when yuh coulda separate yuh bourbon in half an share, world's most delicious frosting.
Sad part is the majority of we population have no problem eating ah slice an greedily ask for 2nds.

Keep hoping for a change in that crab in a barrel syndrome that afflicts D UNC. Let kams keep pelting wild hand in the fight , maybe one day she'll hit the target. Meanwhile a battered but sober PNM will continue to keep this country out of IMF and the "world police" hands for as long as they can. The inevitable is coming, but at least enjoy filling up your pricemart trolleys with all them imported goodies that you folks like while your supreme leader rats out a sovereign nation to her blue eyed God's. Have fun guys.

So much misinformation here it is not funny, Firstly, the PNM is borrowing up the wazoo to support transfers and subsidies which bring NO REVENUE to us, While the IMF lends money under their specific conditions like public sector cuts, subsidy removal etc, borrowing from every Tom Dick and Harry will ensure that at some point we will have to go to the IMF. Our credit rating is already at negative, which means our ability to service loans is not good, so any future loans will be at increasingly unfavourable terms.
To your second "point" do you really feel that sanctions work like running to your father to tell on your brother? The US will sanction who it wants, without any goading from anyone here in sweet T&T. Your position of blaming the people who brought the issue to light, rather than the people who directly by their actions and lies got us in the tight spot is, well, interesting. Stop taking what PNM talking heads and 2NRers say here as gospel.
