Angry construction workers of Caribbean Gas Chemical Limited (CGCL) blocked roads into La Brea on Wednesday morning, effectively cutting off access to communities like Vance River, Sobo and Guapo.

It was the culmination of weeks of protest for increase salaries.

They took it to another level when they blocked the road with blazing debris on Wednesday morning.

Just about one third of the workforce is reported to be engaged in the protest action.

It is. The only problem is that real estate is owned by the HDC, an entity that ain't known for high productivity or strategic planning and execution.
And that is second only to the fact that the area is the hub of a pnm stronghold and if whoever in charge at hdc that feel they mad enough to relocate them ppl and turn them against pnm, that hdc official go be very busy with two things.

Strangely enough HDC recently contacted alot of bailiffs for a tender they advertised some years ago, first hand information from my bailiff who was one of those who was contacted. Something is coming remember HDC is in some serious arrears and their mismanagement is the root of their problem.
