Your saddle is NOT set correctly, You need to set it with a bubble level place along the top of the saddle and make sure the bubble is centered.

that is the second fizik arione I am using, I have found it requires a slight tilt for me,
this was noticed on my first saddle which I have 8k miles on.
this one may be slightly more than the other

Start with a light bike, well one that you would be able to handle to your comfort....
Set it right (alot of vids on youtube to show this)
And voila the road is yours... start on a wide straight road tho.... :D

Youll love riding !!

Kinda back on track after getting sidetracked with carnival cold etc
this afternoon
did 1 up chancellor at 243w avg for warmup
and 4 3/4 intervals at 266,268,261,260,256

crapped out on the last one but I have been trying to keep a higher cadence instead of grinding them out as I normally do, so the exertion was different
I think I can do them easier at 260, when I started was more around 255

unfortunately I usually ride in early the morning and it is hard to watch the powermeter to pace myself like today in the afternoon daylight.

Interval 1:
Duration: 13:31
Work: 195 kJ
TSS: 27.5 (intensity factor 1.105)
Norm Power: 243
Min Max Avg
Power: 2 420 241 watts
Cadence: 55 150 71 rpm
Interval 3:
Duration: 4:35
Min Max Avg
Power: 0 407 266 watts
Cadence: 43 114 80 rpm
Interval 5:
Duration: 4:34
Min Max Avg
Power: 0 388 268 watts
Cadence: 46 119 78 rpm
Interval 7:
Duration: 4:45
Min Max Avg
Power: 3 403 261 watts
Cadence: 46 134 81 rpm
Interval 9:
Duration: 4:39
Min Max Avg
Power: 0 398 260 watts
Cadence: 46 117 82 rpm
Interval 11:
Duration: 3:30
Min Max Avg
Power: 0 335 256 watts
Cadence: 55 115 75 rpm

Anybody used or using a trainer (eg. in the link below).
Can anyone recommend a good trainer for a road bike. Also how effective are they?

^^^ while trainers are good for you, nothing beats on the road training especially training into a head wind.

Good to have you on board. If new to cycling just go out and ride your bike on low gears and learn to spin. Best to ride in groups to be on the safer side from other road users.

Thanks eh...
Rode single speed all through out D.C. and Baltimore. Did fixie occasionally.
Baltimore to Annapolis via BWI then B&A trail-was by far my longest ride with the SS.
D.C. was pure city riding, within traffic. Baltimore was more trails.
Black aluminium frame, white walled tyres. No stickers, no refleftors. Shoe clips. Super clean.

^^^ Damm dude fixie require some skills to ride on the road. It helps with your pedal action. Nice thing about US and Euro they look out for cyclist not so in trini as you may know.
