25 cars for illegal tint, traffic offences, outstandign warrants ...bs this is their best crime response

100 kilos of marijuana seized and destroyed via ian alleyne...failing to admit/realise weed is a pothong drug that noone cares about.

When last anyone heard of a cocaine bust?...also do they tell us if the cocaine if 30% or 90%?...our local police even know how to know the difference?

Have they caught anyone for money laundering?

No?

Then crime will continue to rise, haiti/mexico here we come.

how you so sure they never caught anyone for laundering, you seriously believe that anything the police does, the citizens must hear about it?do you know how OCNU or maybe the Special Branch operate? find out first, then talk nah..

Pastor: Killer can't escape God
14-year-old Akesh laid to rest

By Gyasi Gonzales

Banditry has snuffed out a young life and the young man who killed 14-year-old Akesh Sooklal may escape the police and the law but not God, pastor Kawal Rampersad said yesterday.
Sooklal, a Cunupia Secondary School pupil, was shot in his head by the accomplice of a bandit who had attempted to rob his 27-year-old uncle, Basdeo "Shorts" Siewah of his customised Nissan Wingroad car last Saturday night.
Siewah did not attend the funeral as he is still a patient at the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex, Mt Hope, where he has been hospitalised since being shot in the robbery.
Sooklal was murdered at his family's Mary Ellen Street, Kelly Village, Caroni home where the funeral service was held yesterday.
Pastor Rampersad urged the congregation of emotional mourners to keep an eye on their children.
"When your children bring home stuff and they are not working you need to find out what did they do to get it...how did they pay for it because it could have been paid (for) in blood," said Rampersad.
Several of Sooklal's primary and secondary school teachers who were at the funeral service described him mostly as miserable but nice, with the ability to get away from trouble.
One of his primary school teachers said, 'He was the boy that would do anything for anyone."
"When the bullet struck Akesh, it struck us all as he was a boy we all knew...as he was always in and out everyone's business," said one of his secondary school teachers.
During the funeral service, wailing and crying were heard from as far as the Southern Main Road and one woman, Cherryann Siewah, the wife of Basdeo Siewah, collapsed during the ceremony and had to be taken away from the scene
