The pundit charged with 29 counts of sexual offences appeared in the Siparia Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
Rohan Ramjit, of the Shakti Temple, Neranthar Trace, Rousillac, appeared before magistrate Joanne Conner.
He was charged with 29 counts of sexual offences which included having sexual intercourse with a 14-year-old Princes Town girl between 2008 and 2009.

Ramjit was arrested by on Wednesday. The charges were laid by PC Badree, of the La Brea Police Station.
The matter was held in camera as Conner ordered the courtroom to be cleared due to the nature of the case.
The accused was remanded into custody until Wednesday when he will appear at the Point Fortin Magistrate Court.
