Given that he's getting along in age injuries will take longer to heal. However he has access to the best medical care so he should be ok.

West Indies players don't realize how well they have it.
Today Kyle Abbot has retired from international cricket to join English county cricket as a Kolpak player.
He follows Rilee Roussouw, Stian Van Zyl (test century on debut), Hardus Viljoen (took Allistair Cook's wicket with his first ball in test cricket) and Simon Harmer.

Main reasons for South Africans utilizing Kolpak - Racial quotas (5 whites max on the team)
and weak currency (South Africans are paid in Rand) whereas WI contracts are in US$.

How I know Kohli is a boss....
My father turn the station when he was dismissed.
This is a man swear by Rohan Kanhai, saw Gavaskar, Sobers, Chappell and Miandad bat in real life and then got to see man like Tendulkar, Lara, Ponting et al.

And he watches cricket now just to see Kohli bat.

So the 2 T20s against Pakistan that Trinidad would have gotten later on this year have now gone to Lauderhill.
Seems like another barren year for international cricket in T&T.

This is pretty fair IMO.
The cricketers always say this is their livelihoods. It is his responsibility to ensure he complies with the regulations of his job. Just like operators have to ensure they wear their PPE.
Given that a Jamaican was just found to be doping albeit in 2008 couldn't have helped Russell's case as well.
