The T20 player pool worldwide is saturated.

It's the same players being used in the various leagues around the world with the exception that the hosting league/country gets to put extra filler players in the teams.

WI have many of the top T20 commercial players but they were brought to fore years ago in early ipl days.
When last has there been a new WI T20 player in IPL etc ?

I have no faith in the windies ODI squad...but I guess they can pull of a win against the lions

Gabriel is coming into this own as a bowler. A good sign. He is also seemingly getting to a stage where he doesn't break down after 1-2 matches. He can be the spearhead of a pretty reasonable attack with Joseph, Holder, and Bishoo

Y?
Is it bcuz the so called stars (Gayle, Bravos, Pollard, Narine, Samuels etc) r not playing/selected.
I'll admit this team isn't much to look at on paper but at least they're playin as a team and its good to see them winning.

I wont get carried away with this win tho as it seems the pitch had a lot to play in WI winning(deteriorated quickly)

Man say Samuels yes..lmao
And personally...back in the 80s windies never played with a second strength side they used the cream of the crop...we have some of the best at our disposal and wicb fcking up...

Back in the 80's we didn't hav t20 leagues all over the world.
WI ODI record is abysmal the last few yrs even with all the big names in the squad...

227all out....Sri Lanka made 165all out....greAt game....
West Indies squad is pretty different....7 bajans......but they won....lol...
So west Indies won theurast two games......Let's see how long their winning streak would go for....

Still supporting west Indies to win this tri nation series.....

Even if they keep on losing??

Rather see a team winning.

Thing is...when last we had "big name" players represent windies for a couple of series straight ?? And I mean all the "guns" on one side...if men getting dropped for dumb reasons, player contracts in a mess and the board in shambles....I doh really expect a winning team with little motivation

Du Plessis has been given a fine for the ball tampering issue from the Aus vs SA 2nd test.
Now news are reporting Kohli did the same thing (use spit from sucking a mint to shine the ball). The English are probaly hoping for a ban if proven true but Du Plessis would be the precedence.

WI keeps their record - the only test (including Ireland) team to never successfully chase a 300+ target for victory.

Amazing loss...1 run......boy I woulda run the first run and take off for the second......have nothing to lose if I get run out so be it if they miss the stumps I would get an overthrow and win.......

Holder thinking at all..?..last game he should hold his ground...let the keeper through the ball and break stumps....then pull off head down to the no strikers end cause Carter was already at the strikers end....that was easy to figure out....Holder just disappointing in his lack of thinking.

Kohli comes across as a bad mind stubborn batsman. He will certainly do it to them.

WI really are horrible chasers.
Zim made 218/8 (after being 127/8) and WI are 123/5.
